THE ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE CHANGE
As your Assemblymember, I am committed to fighting for a healthier, greener future for all of us. New York is on the front lines of climate change, and we must take bold action now. Recently, I helped pass landmark legislation to invest in renewable energy, reduce carbon emissions, and protect our natural resources. But there’s so much more to do. We need to push for green jobs, sustainable infrastructure, and policies that ensure our communities are resilient to climate impacts. Climate change is not a distant threat; it’s happening right now, and together, we can lead the charge in creating a more sustainable, equitable world for future generations.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to call home. Housing is a fundamental right, and yet too many New Yorkers are struggling with skyrocketing rents and a lack of options. I’ve fought for legislation to expand affordable housing opportunities and ensure that we’re building with communities in mind. One of my proudest moments was securing funding to preserve and create thousands of affordable units across our district. But this is just the beginning. We need to keep fighting for policies that make housing accessible, prevent displacement, and help our neighbors thrive. I’ll continue pushing for solutions that address both the supply and demand for affordable housing so that no one is left behind.
Public Transit & Safe Streets
New Yorkers depend on public transit to get to work, school, and all the places that make life in this city possible. That’s why I’m fighting for a robust, accessible, and affordable transit system that works for everyone. From securing funding for improved bus and subway services to advocating for better infrastructure, I’ve worked hard to make transit a priority in Albany. But public transit is just part of the equation. We must also ensure that our streets are safe for everyone—whether you’re walking, biking, or driving. I’ve championed safe streets initiatives to reduce traffic accidents, make our roads safer for pedestrians and cyclists, and improve accessibility for those with disabilities. We need a system that’s not only reliable and efficient but also equitable and safe for all. I will continue working to create transit solutions that connect communities and promote safety for all New Yorkers.
HEALTHCARE
Healthcare is a human right, plain and simple. No one should have to choose between paying for prescription drugs and putting food on the table. I’ve worked hard to secure funding for healthcare access, particularly in underserved communities, and to fight for policies that lower prescription drug costs and expand mental health services. New Yorkers deserve a system that puts people over profits, where quality care is accessible, affordable, and equitable. I am committed to advancing policies that improve the healthcare system, including making sure our essential workers and vulnerable communities get the care they need when they need it.

The cost of living in New York is high, and it continues to rise. From housing to groceries to transportation, so many of our neighbors are feeling the squeeze. It’s why I’m focused on making life more affordable for everyone, whether it’s through lowering property taxes, expanding access to benefits like childcare subsidies, or advocating for more affordable healthcare. I understand that many families are struggling to make ends meet, and that’s why I’m working to ease the burden by passing policies that reduce costs, increase wages, and create financial opportunities for all New Yorkers. Together, we can make New York a place where everyone can thrive without having to constantly worry about making ends meet.
